Show 21, Both Blinky and Urban continue to drown under the kind of work schedules which would be utterly illegal in France

EVE Breaks the 200,000 mark for paying subscribers! Many congratulations to everyone at CCP and here's to the next 200K!

Seems that ISS and BOB have had a bit of a falling out. We speculate as to why BOB are getting in fights with so many of their former buddies.

Just when you think the north was becoming (relatively) sane, MDK declare war On Hydra. We predict much pain

Terra Incognita and FLA alliance merge with the usual unhappiness from former members. Just to cap a truly crappy few days for Hydra, it looks like the new alliance is also looking to kill them.

It looks like the weekly EVETV show is going into hiatus for a bit. We would like to thank the EVETV team for all their efforts and hope to see you back in action in February.

For homework this week, Urban would like you to check out the genius that is Turkish Star Wars.

Lots of community news!, A new EVE Alliance Map from tanx0r, A Rags to Riches Contestfrom the wizard of Duke Street.

(indirectly) support WDA and other fantastic MMO podcasts with the Support Virginworlds site. Thanks to our show's new sponsor, StErroneous.

**STOP PRESS** Super sexy new EVE trailer showing off the Trinity 2 graphics enhancements.

Lead out tune 'Common People' by William Shatner.**

Beyond that, just the usual random sidetrackage, gibbering and tinfoil hattery.

Show 20, Fanfest special no.1 (Don't worry guys, we will have a normal show this week too!) Some awesome interviews with some of the CCP Dev's.

First up Urban has a chat with Noah Ward AKA CCP Hammerhead, the lead designer for EVE. Urban demonstrates his utter noobishness by getting the name of the patch wrong! We talk about Drone bandwidth, the fighter changes, Titans, Tech2 Battleships, Torpedo changes, Graphics engine update and the Ambulation Project.

More material on the fanfest has been put up by the fine folks at EVETV. You really have to check out the recordings of the key-notes they have put up-.

Blinky points out that senior citizens in Canada are looked after while in the UK they are forced to sing for our amusement.

Next up is the interview with CCP Dev's Lemousse and Eris Discordia who discuss Ambulation in great detail. YAAAAAY there will be (something like) Poker in Ambulation! We are still worried about the uncanny valley though.

Please give us I tunes reviews

Lead out tune 'These boots were made for walking' by The Hobos.**

Beyond that, just the usual random sidetrackage, gibbering and tinfoil hattery.

**A special choice in honor of Ambuluation!

Both Blinky and Urban have been been sick with the numerous infections they picked up in Iceland (its an unhealthy place!), No doubt its the Goon's fault!

BOB and their friends have now fully withdrawn from paragon soul and Fetabolas, leaving the area for Redswarm to walk in. A future invasion into Period Basis will be difficult though.

Urban listens to a load of rumors about why MC are in carebear mode and what they will be up to in the future

In the North, Triumverate sells off a chunk of their newly actioned space to various others we wonder who they will be picking on next!

Tons of news about fanfest! Check out the awesome recordings of they Keynotes, thanks to EVETV who also win the award for the coolest shirts at fanfest.

The lads discuss their highlights including seeing just how friendly MC and Goons were getting in Jita and meeting Tony Gonzales and hearing about the novel.

Also there has been tons of coverage on fanfest make sure you check out Blinky's Flickr and his Blog talking all about fanfest!

RoXoR totally kicked ass

Lots of special shows coming up in the near future when we put up and discuss the interviews we did while we were there

Lead out tune 'hljomalind' by Sigur Ros.**

Beyond that, just the usual random sidetrackage, gibbering and tinfoil hattery.

Show 18, An Extra long episode for everyone who's going to fanfest to enjoy on the plane!.

Band of Brothers and their friends evacuate the Feythabolis region leaving it to RedSwarm. The Goonies aren't satisfied and continue to push on into period bias.

In the North, Triumverate continues to crush You what, who finally try to throw in the towel It looks like the recently homeless frege will be making a grab for whats left of Youwhat space in cloud Ring.

CommanderInChief attempts to merge some of the smaller alliances into The United Alliances Of Eve (UAE) We think their chances of survival is roughly the same as a pogo stick tester in a minefield.

Happy Birthday to Eternity Inc. and Blinky says sorry for not making your banner.

For discussion this week, We welcome back Crovan who goes though the new Tech 2 battleships. In fact he covers the battleships in such magnificent detail that we are literally speechless!

Awesome new Outbreak Movie called Re:dux. You are commanded to check it out!

Crazy Kinux posts on his blog about a big announcement coming up at fanfest. It involves John Galt Games and a former front man of Taggart Transdimensional. We start to speculate about what it all could mean.

The art book contest as finished and Urban has a new sig! Listen in to hear the top 10!

Lead out tune 'Immigrant Song' by the Led Zeppelin.

Show 17, A bit late (AGAIN!) so we could attempt to cover the captial ship changes properly (more on this later).

CCP discover a sercuity breech in the database, which necessitated a full shut down for 9 hours. Rumors of a rollback proved false though!

The MC takes a break from the massive war in the south and presumably went back to mining.

A new corp called Goonicide appears sworn to take down their rather numerous enemy, Teh Goons! We decide to put our money on the goonies for this one!

Triumverate are opening a giant can of whoopass you what. We both prove to be Nostradamus like sages with our predictive powers.

The establishment are back with a fleet of motherships! have fun with them while you still can guys!

For discussion this week, We looked at the capital changes were a bit shocked by CCP Zulupark's Blog and still shocked when we read CCP Nozh's flollow up blog. To help make sense of it all we invite teh 1337 capital pilots TBone and danneh onto the show to discuss the implications.

For homework this week urban wants you to check out Agent ZigZag by Ben Macintyre. The true story of WW2 double agent Eddie Chapman.

The art book compo is still open till the end of Saturday so hurry and make sigs! The magnificent Ineve.net surpasses 50,000 characters!

**SPECIAL ART BOOK COMPETITION EPISODE**

Show 16, Both Blinky and Urban are being dutiful sons, looking after their respective parents stuff while they are away on their hols. Urban Breaks his laptop though.

BOB demand tons of ISK from M.pire, M.Pire proceed to tell the bobbits where to go and heads off to Goon space.

The Lads reject the fact that they have an anti goon bias, we are just suspicious when some members of Goonswarm post blatantly faked emails which leads to the whole alliance being treated with suspicion.

IAC are doing rather poorly in the war, having lost control of FAT-GP, and have now stated a rather belated NBSI in Catch space.

Triumverate, Morhus Mihi and RAZOR are doing well in the north. Keep up the good work guys.

The lads do a very brief guide to 0.0 for those brave souls who are looking to move out there.

For homework this week, Blinky would like you to check out The Fountain a crazy tale from Darren Aronofsky.

Lots more Fanfest information! Including the face melding compo and signups for the PVP tournament has started.

Blinky interviews Matt Milberger from CCP/White Wolf about the New Art Book And Blinky reviews the copy CCP sent him

**ART BOOK COMPETITION**

The Sig regulations are In Rule 3. Host the sig's on EVE Files and send the links in this tread, via eve mail to us or email the link to podcast(at)winterblink(dot)com .

The Warp Drive Active podcast returns once again to bring you news and perky commentary on everyone's "favorite" MMO, EVE Online.

Show 14, better late than never! Urban has moved house and hasn't ironed all the bugs out of his sound setup yet (It does get better during the course of the show though) He suffers in work from a horrible obsolete programming language.

Huge scrap in XID between BOB and Redswarm, BOB gives a pep talk to R I S E, It doesn't to have done a whole lot of good though.

In the constant madness of the North, it looks like Fallen Souls have been kicked out everywhere they used to own up there.

EVE university gets a load of war dec's from people who like killing noobs!

At the request of Wilhelm we do a noob guide to tanking. For more information check out the excellent EVE Tanking made by Nyphur.

For homework this week, Blinky chooses a bit of classic Anime Voices of a Distant Star by Makoto Shinkai.

EVETV Episode 13 is free We hope this is the start of things to come. We also like the Brightcove player a lot more than the Jalipo player.

The Warp Drive Active podcast returns once again to bring you news and perky commentary on everyone's "favorite" MMO, EVE Online.

We kick of unlucky show 13 by talking about our weeks. Blinky has been partaking in more IAC kicking in the great war in the south while Urban has found a new place to live and will be moving soon(tm).

The lads discuss Faster than light comms, sound from pods, and the new EVE Chronicles

Tyraxx Looses his Aeon mothership which he nicked from BOB a few weeks ago. Easy come easy go!

Meanwhile BOB looks like they are performing a scorched earth retreat from Omist.

In the constant madness of the North, it looks like Fallen Souls are loosing quite a few of their recently gained systems.

For the first time in the history of CAOD, a thread appears where everyone is being nice!!! Even Burn Eden!. Many congratulations to HUN for making history a second time

Oveur writes a hufe dev blog about the sexiness which will be in Revelations 3.0.

Sadly though, CCP Ginger tells us in his Dev blog, that there won't be factional warfare.

For homework this week, Urban would like you to check out police squad! One of the best TV shows ever.

Thanks to the joys of Skype we are able to introduce a new feature. Call Us, and leave a message on what you would like to see in Rev 3. Our Skype name is Warp.Drive.Active

The Warp Drive Active podcast returns once again to bring you news and perky commentary on everyone's "favorite" MMO, EVE Online.

After the madness of the tournament , we are back to doing a 'normal' show. Massive congratulations to Hun Reloaded.

We check out the sexy new Trinity 2 vids which CCP have released.

The IAC adds Band of Borthers too their already huge list of enemies, if Shrike is to be believed.

Smash and ROADKILL nab a station, Burn Eden war dec BIG Corp over a gambling disagreement and Hadean Drive Yards celebrates 5 years in EVE .

We totally ridicule a moronic demand from somebody who got scammed by an isk farmer and complained about it.

For homework this week, Blinky selects the movie Spartan , Just don't read the back of the box!

In 'what else have you been doing this week', Urban has completed Bioshock and declares it to be the best single player game since Deus Ex.

Meanwhile Blinky is still loving Warhawk on his PS3.

The EVETV Guys and Girls did a great job at broadcasting the tournament and we give massive thanks to everyone especially WCIX for making the streaming work perfectly this time. We were blown away by the quality of the in game camera work.

The booze on the final day leads to quality programming including Stav's role play rant and excessive shoe on head!

Beyond that, just the usual random sidetrackage, gibbering and tinfoil hattery.

**TOURNAMENT HALF TERM SPECIAL**

**WARNING - THIS SHOW CONTAINS SILLINESS**

The Warp Drive Active podcast returns once again to bring you news and perky commentary on everyone's "favorite" MMO, EVE Online.

So we are now at the half way stage of the tournament and its we hand out school reports to all the Groups and Teams.

To make it fair we drag EVETV experts Stavros from CI and XxAngelxX away from their life of booze and debauchery in Iceland grade the teams.

Laugh at Urban and his massive nerd rage caused by MC withdrawal from the tournament, while Blinky tries desperately to justify it.

Watch Stav desperately flirt with Angel with little success as she seems to be only interested in committing acts of violence against him.

Discover the proclamations which Stavros will be making once he becomes Amarr Emperor.

Most importantly discover the dangers of traffic cones, the herding powers of Tyraxx Thorrk's pink hat, the bathroom hogging prowess of KIAEddz and why its very important to check if the show isn't broadcasting before you start saying naughty things.

Beyond that, even more than usual random sidetrackage, gibbering and tinfoil hattery.

Lead out tune "The Ballad Of Robert Moore And Betty Coltrane" by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.

Massive thanks to Stav and Angel for putting up with us and doing such a great job, Have fun on the last weekend!

The Warp Drive Active podcast returns once again to bring you news and perky commentary on everyone's "favorite" MMO, EVE Online.

Urban has another hellish week at work, which delays the podcast a bit (sorry guys), While Winterblink catches Tyraxx (not in his Aeon though) and helps in laying the smack down on IAC.

Massive Scrap in BKG between RAZOR,Morsus Mihi ,Pure, Triumvirate & CO VS Cult Of War, FATAL, M.Pire and Fallen Souls.

AS usual the massive battle leads to an attack from the lag monster.

The MC have now blown up over 1 trillion ISK worth of enemy ships according to Massive their killboard.

CCP have been doing the rounds at the various conferences , and we cherry pick what we consider the most interesting news.

Lead Designer, Noah Ward gets interviewed by Warcry where he tells us about the upcoming Tech 2 stealth battle ships and the Trinty 2 graphics engine.

Noah Ward then teams up with PR and Communications Director, Valerie Massey for their interview with Tenton hammer where they talk about Ambulation.

For homework this week, Urban would like you to watch The Boys from Brazil, a really excellent but some what disturbing film.

In the new "what else are you doing this week" section, Blinky has been playing and enjoying Warhawk on his PS3.

The tournament returns and we really want to congratulate CCP and EVETV on streaming properly. this time. We discuss what we are enjoying as part of the show.

The MC, target Urban with a real tech 2 kick to the balls.

Beyond that, just the usual random sidetrackage, gibbering and tinfoil hattery.

Lead out tune "Weapon of mass destruction" by Faithless.

**ALLIANCE TOURNAMENT PREVIEW SPECIAL**

So the tournament is about to kick off again and Urban and Blinky really wanted to bring in depth and intelligent analysis on the Groups and Teams.

Unfortunately they then sabotage their own plan by inviting Verone from Veto and KIAEddZ from KIA onto the show.

Verone does go through the tournament groups giving firm but fair ratings for each of the teams, Eddz smack talks pretty much everyone Urban tries and fails to pronounce the names of most of the Alliances (even the ones which are in English) and Winterblink messes around with his anagram generator.

Find out which is the group death, which is the other group of death and which is the group of meh.

Massive thanks to Verone and Eddz for putting up with us and doing such a great job, Have a great time in Iceland guys!

The Warp Drive Active podcast returns once again to bring you news and perky commentary on everyone's "favorite" MMO, EVE Online.

Urban is wracked with guilty about some advice he gave to his his friends at the Comutiny podcast, While Winterblink watches IAC's Utterly futile attack in 49U

Tyraxx Thorrk swipes an Aeon from Evolution. With all the bad news for BOB in the past few weeks, we wonder if BOB is loosing it.

The Goonies celebrate a glorious 14th August , We hope they had CaKe to celebrate.

The player news centre completely ignores any of the real news and publishes a propaganda piece about a bunch of nobodies.

Big changes are happening to they way you fuel a POS. Reinforced mode gets thumped by the nerf bat.

Mineral compression gets a big nerf as well. All is not lost though as CCP unveils the awesomely named Rorqual new capital class mining vessel

We wanted to do a noob guide for starting a corporation, but frankly we know nothing about how to. Thankfully Crovan is on hand to give all the details.

For homework this week Urban sets something really awsome which everyone should check out. (more is available here).

Beyond that, just the usual getting sidetrackage, gibbering and tinfoil hattery.

Lead out tune "Out Of Sync" by Devo.**

The Warp Drive Active podcast returns once again to bring you news and perky commentary on everyone's "favorite" MMO, EVE Online.

Urban and Winterblink have both been having stressful weeks at work

In in-game news its Silly season with no major news stories happening.

The FREGE Alliance have been doing the most interesting thing of anyone this week by annoying the crap out of BOB, BodyCollector shouldn't post while drunk though.

The lads feel FREGE would fit in well at the ambassadors reception.

We correct an editing error I made last week regaring the IAC V FIX & MC war. Tyraxx continues to loose ships though.

We also really would like CCP to make an official Killboard.

We do a noob guide for agent running, for those who want to be obscenely rich.

For homework this week Winterblink would like you to read Cryptonomicon by Neil Stephenson.

We intive EVETV experts Stavros and Ifni onto the show to discuss the upcomming Tournament.

We are all highly impressed with EVETV's new invention The Caldari Sleipnir. Winterblink finds it especially inspiring.

We still really hope Band of Brothers doesn't win this years tournament! Give somebody else a chance guys!

The first WDA T-Shirt contest has a winner! One lucky listener now has an alternative to being naked!

The Warp Drive Active podcast returns once again to bring you news and perky commentary on everyone's "favorite" MMO, EVE Online.

Urban and Winterblink start the show by spending an inordinate amount of time discussing their hatred of startrek and trekkies.

Winterblink buys himself a Playstation 3 which he rather likes while Oblivion still continues to consume Urbans life.

BOB and the Redswarm alliance have a big time scrap with nearly 1200 ships destroyed already.

The IAC V Fix + MC + Axe war continues to hot up nicely IAC put up another outpost which leads to but Tyraxx Thorrk looses another shed load of ships.

In the north the Sparta alliance disbands with its territory becoming property of Fallen Souls. We wonder what the other northern alliances will try and grab.

CCP Fendahl posts a dev blog about changes to Nos. The lads plan of hitting SISI to check out some Nute-Dom setups

The same Dev Blog has got the changes to Khanid Ships which causes much Armarr rage. Winterblink learns a new word.

A lot of people, including Urban, like the homework assignment Winterblink set last week, Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman. If you do our homework assignment please do write and tell us.

This week for homework Urban would like you to read The player of games by Iain M Banks, because the Culture universe is so damn cool.

Griefwatch Killboards changes hands as the current owner can no longer run it, we take our hats off to Battle Clinic for stepping up.

The rules for the 4th PVP tournament rules have been published by GM Nova. We worry that we won't be seeing enough expensive factions ships going boom.

The Warp Drive Active podcast returns once again to bring you news and perky commentary on everyone's "favorite" MMO, EVE Online.

Sorry about the Delay, I've been called down to my parents place to help with the cleanup after the Great Burlingham flood and i've only just got their broadband working again.

Winterblink helps blow up a carrier whilst Urban has got himself a Xbox 360 with Oblivion which is taking up way too much of his time.

Tetra accuses us of being "Sponsored by BOB and co..." which is a bit confusing given that most of the Band of Brothers stories we report on tend to be about things going wrong for them (Shrike's Titan, Flatliners Theft).

The patch makes the server go boom which leads to Much geek rage .

The MC have been Hired by Fix to join them in their war against IAC. AXE are also getting in on the action.

Tyraxx Thorrk, the big boss of IAC, looses yet another ultra rare ship.

The first Soverignty level 3 systems are now in place, Cyno jammers rule!

We interview and get interviewed by Ivan Moon from EVE Tribune, well most of the time we just argued like old ladies.

Our friends over at the Shut Up we're Talking podcast finally get the noob guide they asked for. This time we go through the basics of starting off in PVP as a tackler.

The Warp Drive Active podcast returns once again to bring you news and perky commentary on everyone's "favorite" MMO, EVE Online

Winterblink is finding Canada so hot his skin is melting while Urban (and everyone else in the UK) is plaged with floods.

IAC's Outpost egg

gets blown up buy the MC, having been hired by Fix

Ex M0o Pilot pilot Flatliner attempts to wreck the Band of Brothers BBQ by pillaging 300 Billion ISK worth of stuff from Evolution. We hope Sir Molle didn't choke on his hotdog!"

FIX were cooking a Nyx when along came AAA to blow it up. Urban and Blinky respond to the news by having a really random conversation.

The Red Alliances loss of couple of systems inspires Urban to poetry.

Its Patch day on Tuesday so make sure you train long skillz. The lads discuss the patch for a little bit and before going to talk about more cowbell! for ages!

Urban didn't think too much about Equlibrium the homework assignment homework assignment Blinky set last week, but his homework assigment is a movie which is glorious in every way.

EVE TV continues to improve, this week we are greeted by newly promoted Lead Designer Hammerhead (Congratz Dude!) although he does look disconsertingly like Jesus.

The latest issue of EON Magazine is reviewed by the lads although Urban curses Zapatero for descrating the glory of his Stavros article.

Following up our first proper podcast, we return once again to bring you news and perky commentary on everyone's "favorite" MMO, EVE Online,

Winterblink tries to pat the team on the back about the podcast, Urban kicks him in the shin in response.

This week, Winterblink talks briefly on his uneventful week in EVE, while Urban continues to build his House of lies, one brick at a time.

Goonswarm's titan fund gets pillaged by their former boss Remedial, hilarious the same one they voted in as CEO of the year.

The northern regions of EVE continue to a place of madness.

Richard (Zapatero) from MMM Publishing graces us with his presence, and we return the favor in kind by grilling him about all things EVE TV, Good Cop - Bad Cop style.

A listener's opinionated response about Urban's The Handmaid's Tale downtime assigment makes Urban goes insane with raging rageness.

Winterblink comes up with his own homework assigment for everyone to watch Equilibrium, a feel good film about oppressive societies who solve their problems through drugs and violence.

PVP Tournement hosts are announced, and we've got the names. Well, the forums have the names, we just talk about them.

We lament about the streaming buffering issues from the last tournament and hope to god this one goes better

Those dudes from Shut Up, We're Talking are nice guys for mentioning us, so we return the favor by saying nice things about them.

Yes after last weeks success the first proper expisode of WDA podcast is ready. We are now part of the Virginwolds podcast collective.

In the show this week:

Winterblink nearly gets his Hyperion blown up by some NPC's while Urban Mongral drowns in a sea of isk spam.

Urban gets totally owned over this weeks patch

The lads like the DirectX 10 ship models, its a shame that Windows Vista is still really bad

Desync's are still a big headache for some

Oveur doesn't talk in leet any more and we think its our fault. In his recent interview with MMO Gamer he talks about joystick based combat. Winterblink copyrights the phrase "lagstick"

Ambulation doesn't impress Urban, but Winterblink think it will help recurit some hawt chix. EVE meet today in London (TODAY!) be there or be or be a carebear.

For homework during downtime this week (apart from the stuff you should do anyway), you are to read The Handmaids tale by Margaret Atwood

We rate really well on the Geek Hierarchy
