Sun, 22 July 2007 ![]() The Warp Drive Active podcast returns once again to bring you news and perky commentary on everyone's "favorite" MMO, EVE Online Winterblink is finding Canada so hot his skin is melting while Urban (and everyone else in the UK) is plaged with floods. IAC's Outpost egg gets blown up buy the MC, having been hired by FixEx M0o Pilot pilot Flatliner attempts to wreck the Band of Brothers BBQ by pillaging 300 Billion ISK worth of stuff from Evolution. We hope Sir Molle didn't choke on his hotdog!" FIX were cooking a Nyx when along came AAA to blow it up. Urban and Blinky respond to the news by having a really random conversation. The Red Alliances loss of couple of systems inspires Urban to poetry. Its Patch day on Tuesday so make sure you train long skillz. The lads discuss the patch for a little bit and before going to talk about more cowbell! for ages! Urban didn't think too much about Equlibrium the homework assignment homework assignment Blinky set last week, but his homework assigment is a movie which is glorious in every way. EVE TV continues to improve, this week we are greeted by newly promoted Lead Designer Hammerhead (Congratz Dude!) although he does look disconsertingly like Jesus. The latest issue of EON Magazine is reviewed by the lads although Urban curses Zapatero for descrating the glory of his Stavros article. Lead our tune "Don't Fear the Reaper" by Blue Oyster Cult (More Cowbell!)Enjoy the show! Comments[0] |
Sun, 15 July 2007 ![]() Following up our first proper podcast, we return once again to bring you news and perky commentary on everyone's "favorite" MMO, EVE Online, Winterblink tries to pat the team on the back about the podcast, Urban kicks him in the shin in response. This week, Winterblink talks briefly on his uneventful week in EVE, while Urban continues to build his House of lies, one brick at a time. Goonswarm's titan fund gets pillaged by their former boss Remedial, hilarious the same one they voted in as CEO of the year. The northern regions of EVE continue to a place of madness. Richard (Zapatero) from MMM Publishing graces us with his presence, and we return the favor in kind by grilling him about all things EVE TV, Good Cop - Bad Cop style. A listener's opinionated response about Urban's The Handmaid's Tale downtime assigment makes Urban goes insane with raging rageness. Winterblink comes up with his own homework assigment for everyone to watch Equilibrium, a feel good film about oppressive societies who solve their problems through drugs and violence. PVP Tournement hosts are announced, and we've got the names. Well, the forums have the names, we just talk about them. We lament about the streaming buffering issues from the last tournament and hope to god this one goes better Those dudes from Shut Up, We're Talking are nice guys for mentioning us, so we return the favor by saying nice things about them. Sat, 7 July 2007 Yes after last weeks success the first proper expisode of WDA podcast is ready. We are now part of the Virginwolds podcast collective.
In the show this week: Winterblink nearly gets his Hyperion blown up by some NPC's while Urban Mongral drowns in a sea of isk spam. Urban gets totally owned over this weeks patch The lads like the DirectX 10 ship models, its a shame that Windows Vista is still really bad Desync's are still a big headache for some Oveur doesn't talk in leet any more and we think its our fault. In his recent interview with MMO Gamer he talks about joystick based combat. Winterblink copyrights the phrase "lagstick" Ambulation doesn't impress Urban, but Winterblink think it will help recurit some hawt chix. EVE meet today in London (TODAY!) be there or be or be a carebear. For homework during downtime this week (apart from the stuff you should do anyway), you are to read The Handmaids tale by Margaret Atwood We rate really well on the Geek Hierarchy Comments[0] |
